Alice Nadine Thompson Hudspeth was born on February 24, 1924 in Van Zandt County, Texas and went to be with our Lord on July 7, 2005. She married Doyle Franklin Hudspeth on November 1, 1941, in Wills Point, Texas.
She was living in Dallas, Texas when she was taken to meet the Lord, but had a wonderful life with her career, raising her family and her church work. Before deciding to open her own Hair Styling Shop in the 80's in Dallas, then Wills Point Texas, she had worked with The Dallas Times Herald and was associated with Town East Ford as secretary of sales in the 70's. Alice was dedicated to the public welfare of Dallas County for over 22 years, serving in the capacity of alternate election judge and served also as the Secretary of Citizens for Good Schools Committee under the direction of Dr. John Walton. She served under Sheriff Bill Decker and worked also for the City of Dallas. When she came to Dallas in the late 40's with her family she was employed for many years with Southwestern Bell Telephone.
She is the daughter of Rufus Franklin Thompson, Sr., and Vera Mae [Groom] Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Horace E. Thompson; nephew, Eric B. Thompson; and sister-in-law, Bille M.Sapp Thompson..
She has three daughters and son in laws; Gwin Doylene & Gerald Pate, Vicka Cheryl & Larry Payne, Alecia Renee & Terry Morgan
She has seven grandchildren; Danny Gerald and wife Ann Teel Pate, Jerry Wayne and wife Susie Graul Payne, Donny Lynn & wife Amy Patterson Payne, Andrea Nicole Payne & husband Chris Corona, John David & wife Magaly Ventura Payne, Christopher David & wife Marya Markowski Morgan, and finally grand-daughter Amber Renee Morgan who is engaged to Ahmad Hamideh.
She has 14 great-grandchildren; Amber Elizabeth Pate, Seth Daniel Pate, Jeremy William Payne, Jordan Alan Payne, Chelsey Suzanne Payne, Paige Taylor Payne, Summer Kaye Payne, Britain Christopher Corona, Andrew Cole Corona, Breeana Nicole Corona, John David Payne, Jr., Brooklynn Nicole Payne, Giby Lee Morgan and Cid Selby Dominguez.
She is survived by four brothers; Willard Allen Thompson, Rufus Franklin Thompson, Jr., Joe Erwin Thompson, and Randall Groom Thompson, she is also survived by four sisters; Roberta Joy [Thompson] Ferris, Nelda Alene [Thompson] Worth, Patsy Ruth [Thompson] Barnhill, and Lynda Lou [Thompson] Taylor.
She has 24 nieces and nephews; Horace Allen Thompson, Phyllis Gene Thompson Powell, Willard Brent Thompson, Dennis Wayne Thompson, Deborah Elaine Thompson Coker, Sandra Jean Thompson, Sabrina Lynn Thompson, Jo Jeannine Thompson Holland, Melanie Marie Thompson Wisdom, Ramona Rachelle Thompson Hill, Tanya Thompson Delgado, Cheryl Lynn Worth Aiello, Rhonda Shannah Worth, Teresa Joyce Worth Thomas, Lee Darron Worth, Dana Kelly Thompson Worth, Rev.
